Description

"He's out there right now. And I've got to go to work."

When Tim Burton reimagined Batman in 1989, he didn't just create a film—he created a visual language. Dark. Industrial. Nocturnal. A fever dream of Gothic architecture and cutting-edge technology wrapped in black. And at the heart of that vision was the Batcave: Bruce Wayne's sanctum sanctorum, where a billionaire's paranoia and genius merged into the ultimate command center.

Additional details

Burton's Batcave wasn't a secret hideout. It was a cathedral of surveillance, a technological nerve center where every monitor, every screen, every dial spoke to the meticulous, methodical mind of a man consumed by purpose. Jack Palance's Joker may have terrorized Gotham's streets, but Bruce Wayne controlled them from this room, a room that felt less like shelter and more like obsession made physical.

Now, Jazzinc proudly presents the definitive 1989 Batcave: a 1/6 scale diorama so detailed, so functional, so alive that standing before it feels like stepping directly into Burton's vision.

This is the Batcave as it was meant to be experienced: fully operational and utterly immersive.

12 Fully Functional Monitors & Screens — Each display lights and functions independently, creating the cascading illumination that defined Burton's surveillance aesthetic. Watch as data streams across the screens, as security feeds populate the displays, as the Batcave comes alive with the weight of Batman's vigilance.

Integrated Sound System with Curated Film Audio — Original dialogue including the Commissioner Gordon surveillance scene or the Joker’s threat to Gotham, all from the 1989 film play throughout the diorama. The sound can be muted for silent contemplation or adjusted to match your display environment.

The Central Command Chair — The rotating centerpiece where Bruce Wayne plots his war on crime. Engineered with screen-accurate proportions and positioned at the psychological heart of the entire operation.

Obsessive Industrial Detail — Every surface speaks to Batman's meticulous nature. Riveted metal frameworks. Precision-engineered consoles. The kind of craftsmanship that comes from building a war room, not just a hideout. The lighting design—cool blues, industrial highlights—creates the exact atmosphere Burton captured on film.

If you grew up mesmerized by Burton's vision. If you understand that the Batcave was as much a character as Batman himself. If you believe that collecting isn't about accumulation but about owning the objects that defined your imagination, then you already know what this means.

This is a limited production run. And given the reverent devotion of Burton Batman collectors, hesitation means watching this vanish into the collections of others.

Pre-order yours today and own the command center where Gotham's protector wages his war. Because some obsessions are worth honoring.

This, the black turtleneck BW, and the vault holding the suit are the perfect additions to the 89 Batmobile. Any idea when the vault will be added to the lineup (and/or any guess on the price)?

avatar

Thank you. It will go up in Q3. I think around $500-$600

Great to see all the SDCC coverage!

Do you think this would fit inside a Moducase SIXTH type case? The dimensions are very close:

Inner dimensions Length: 1060mm (41.73") Depth: 410mm (16.14") Height: 450mm (17.71")

https://moduspace.sg/en-us/products/sixth110

Thanks!!

Thanks for the question! The 1989 Batcave Ultimate DX has a footprint of approximately 41" x 17" x 18" (104cm x 43cm x 46cm), so it would be very close with the Moducase SIXTH dimensions you mentioned.

The depth might be a bit tight — the Batcave is about 43cm deep while the case interior is 41cm. The height should work at 46cm vs. 45cm available, but again, it's cutting it very close. The length at 104cm should fit comfortably in the 106cm case.

I'd recommend double-checking with Moducase directly about whether those couple of centimeters make a difference, especially since display cases can sometimes have interior struts or edges that reduce the usable space slightly. You might also want to consider how the door will close if the piece is right up against the glass.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Christopher Trainer

Damn you got me. Wasn't gonna buy it till you showed it with the Bruce Wayne black turtleneck figure.

avatar

Hi Christopher! Thanks for your enthusiasm! The figure that was on display at Comic-Con was a prototype that we plan to have available as separate product soon. Please stay tuned for when preorders open for that.

Alexander Valentino

There's Bruce Wayne figure on the SDCC display. Is it included or excluded in this diorama set? I can't find Bruce Wayne figure listing in this website.

avatar

Hi Alexander! The Bruce Wayne figure is NOT included with the 1989 Batcave. The figure is a prototype, currently only for display purposes, and not yet available for preorder. Thanks for asking!

avatar

I've waited soooo long for this!

Excited for this one. Looks amazing!
