Additional details

Holy heart failure, Batman!

We have listened. And while we will not do a re-release of the original Season 1 car, this Season 3 vehicle packs a punch. To tell the story of Batman and Robin throughout 3 seasons and a TV-movie, numerous cosmetic changes were added to the Batmobile. Some practical, like the new steering wheel which was easier to use, or the new bat turn lever so that actor's faces weren't blocked, but also cosmetic changes to further the story, like a rear facing camera, a bat pencil, a geiger counter and about 40 more changes.

This will be a limited edition vehicle with a short pre-order period. We hope to start shipping the first units early next year!

The Officially Licensed Limited Edition 1968 TV Series Batmobile is the POW! your collection needs and once you get yours, it may just inspire you to break into a Batusi.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Now I don’t have to worry about my little brother stealing my β€˜66 Batmobile!

avatar

πŸ˜‚thank you

avatar

I really like that paint job. Well done.

Love that this is getting made! Even though it's from the 3rd season, imho, to me it looks more like a Prototype of the 1st vehicle! Either way, Pre-ordered, looking forward to adding it to my Jazzinc. collection! Now, Please make the Mach 5 soon!

Hi, Joost! Thank you so much for offering the 1968 Batmobile! I owned the 1966 version, but had to sell it to help pay the copay on a very expensive medical devise. I was, and still am a little heartbroken over it! I loved the ’66 as much as any of my other collectibles. And I’m primarily a Star Wars collector! I actually like the ’68 a little more and it seems to be more appropriate for an antihero, as the less glossy paint and subtle pin striping give the Batmobile a bit of a menacing vibe. Thank You!

avatar

Thought i was never gonna bag this. Got the figures for the '66,but was made unemployed. Back in work and there pops the '68! Over the damn moon! Cannot wait till next April! Thank you so much for doing this! Beyond ecstatic. Cheers.

avatar

Missed out on the 66 and ive been gutted ever since. Just put my deposit on the 68 and I cant wait. Thank you Joost.

avatar

Can you make this glossy also the other cars don't seem matte to me please.

avatar

Sorry, no, the Batmobile was never high gloss (because the cameras back then could not handle the glare) and they became increasingly more matte. This will be a satin like finish

avatar

I have to admit, after watching Batman '66 in H.D. the last few weeks, the original car looks a little rough in its glossy format. I think people have thier own version of it in mind thats ots super glossy and immaculate. It isnt. When it changes to the '68 ot is properly Black. And ot looks far better in my eyes. Dont get me wrong,id jump at the chance to get the '66 you released as i class it as how i saw that car in its perfect form in my mind, but its gone. So im more than happy to have the '68 which is more accurate than the '66,and in comparison with watching the show with it,looks far better.

avatar

Dear Matthew thank you. Indeed it was never as glossy as people thought, even on its best day. There were times they flocked it to be completely matte even

avatar

What i don't understand i see the screen used cars in videos they look glossy even the 68. The gloss does look nice too i guess I'm debating if I should order this the color is what's holding me back i wish the orange was brighter and black glossy it's beautiful but i guess i see the colors different. I ordered the 89 though.
