Tim Burton's 1989 vision of this iconic aircraft captured imaginations worldwide, transforming the Bat-symbol into a soaring predator that struck fear into the hearts of criminals below.
Now, for the first time ever, Jazzinc presents the opportunity to own this legendary vehicle in precision-crafted 1/12 scale through our revolutionary Back the Build platform. This isn't just a smaller version of our acclaimed 1/6 Batwing—it's a completely reimagined collectible designed specifically for collectors who demand museum-quality accuracy without requiring a museum-sized display space.

Precision Engineering at 1/12 Scale
While our 1/6 Batwing commanded attention through sheer size, this 1/12 iteration achieves impact through surgical precision. Every rivet, every panel line, and every mechanical detail has been meticulously scaled down without losing an ounce of authenticity. The result is a collectible that captures the full majesty of Burton's design while fitting comfortably in any display environment.
From the magnetically removable canopy to the detailed cockpit instrumentation, this Batwing proves that when it comes to exceptional quality, size doesn’t matter.

I decided not to back it because it's not true 1/12 scale. It's beautiful, and considering JazzInc's reputation I'm sure it'll be amazing museum quality, but the scaling being wildly off is a major turn off.
There's 2 major 1/12 scales, "Western 1/12" and "Eastern/Import 1/12" scales.
Western 1/12 having figures being between 6-6.5inch on avg. Eastern/Import 1/12 having figures being between 5-6inch on avg.
Most reviewers of the prototype inexplicably omitted any kind of side-by-side scaling with other 1/12 figures, be it Western companies like Hasbro, Mezco or Valaverse, or side-by-side scaling with Eastern/Import 1/12 figures like Mafex or SH Figuarts.
Only MadHatter, out of ALL the reviewers of the prototype, had the common sense to put unassociated 1/12 scale figures in the same frame for a side-by-side comparison, and even put a Mafex Spiderman inside the cockpit, and in all those side-by-sides, it's CLEARLY apparent that this Batwing is NOT 1/12 scale, and closer to 1/16th say I would guess...
Literally no existing Batman figure will fit in there unless it's 4inches or less, which again, is not 1/12 scale.
Yes you guys are including the "sitting Batman" with the 4th Tier, but that doesn't solve the problem of this still not being true 1/12 scale.
Please fix the scaling issue, and I will be more than happy to buy TWO of them, much less ONE.
I might have to test it out with my Hot Toys 1/12th scale "The Bat" (Deluxe) comes with 1/12th scale pose-able Batman & Catwoman figure in Jazzinc's Batwing.
After all the back and forth, I'll still keep my pre-order since I backed Tier 4 which comes with its own dedicated "seated" Batman to suit the vehicle. but wouldn't mind test the Hot Toys 1/12th The Bat figures (mentioned above) and see if it fit as well.

and now you've hit the nail on the head. Because there are two reasons the batman figures dont fit. One is that they are oversized and two is that getting a regular figure in a realistic seated position is next to impossible which is why we make the sitting batman figure
Now, do we also scale up our batwing, so that is NO LONGER true 1/12 scale or do we make it accurate?
Hey Joost,
Thank you for the reply. Have you guys tried to fit any of the Mafex/SHF Batman figures in it?
Understandably McFarlane's DC Multiverse Batman figures tend to scale on the larger side, so they're closer to 6.5-7inches, which would naturally not fit into a proper 1/12 scale vehicle anyway, but certainly the smaller "Eastern 1/12" scale figures of Batman from Mafex and/or S.H.Figuarts would fit into the cockpit comfortably right?
But considering the ONLY reviewer of the prototypes you sent out that put unassociated 1/12 scale figures beside it, and inside the cockpit for size reference is MadHatterReviews(a wonderful and insightful reviewer), it's hard to get a PERFECT photo of the scaling issue I mention, but if you watch MadHatters review of the prototype, when he does the side-by-side of other figures with the Batwing, it's CLEAR that the Batwing is on the small side for simalarly sized 1/12 scale figures, even "Import sized" 1/12 figures.
He was able to finnagle a Mafex Spiderman figure into the cockpit and the spiderman looks ENORMOUS sitting in there, and that's the SMALLER of the 2 variations of 1/12 scale.
So how on earth is ANY 1/12 scaled figure of Batman suppose to fit in there when there's hardly room for a skinny smaller than avg scaled Import Spiderman figure?
I believe when you say that you literally just took the 1/6 Batwing and scaled it down mathematically, but either the 1/12 scale figure market isn't true 1/12 scale, or the Batwing isn't true 1/12 scale, but one of them is clearly off, and if the 1/12 scaled market is slightly larger than the mathematical 1/12 scale of your guys Batwing, then maybe it requires a small bump in the scaling of it in order to fit avg 1/12 scale figures on the market if it's going to be advertised as "True 1/12 Scale"?
actually, we scaled down our 1/6 scale batwing as scanned from WB archives for this and ALL 1/6 scale batman figures fit in that, so how do you explain that the 1/12 scale figures do not all fit? This is NOT too small
Is it to late to upgrade to include the dynamic stand? If not, how do I do that.
Congratulations!!! The challenge was achieved. Maybe it wasn't the 3,000 that were originally requested but the second goal was reached and a little more than 1,500. That makes me happy because I ordered 2 batwings set 4. One is a gift for my older brother and the other one it’s for my collection.
I happy to order mine! I get the number 4 top of the line!! I'm letting my family and friends know about this! I'm going to watch the movie today Batman returns!! Where does he get those magnificent toys.from the Man in Wyoming.
Congratulations Joost, Team and Community!!!. Keep the counter active to see how increase the number and achieve the goal of 2200 and 3000. Hope you can get it! And give us the chance to make the model with more features!!!
Well done by the community and congrats to Joost and the team! So stoked!!!
Yeah Im backing this! Missed my chance to get the 1/6th 89 Batmobile, I wont miss out on this one!
Omg, I’m beyond excited to see we reach the funding goal! The joy receiving this most wanted collectible next year, the smile on my face right now I’m beaming 🤓😁🤗🦇 thank you so much Joost & team💕
Excellent!! Crank up those production gears!!! Thank you for adjusting the time and the goal. Thank you for the desire to want to build this.
